Because - forgetting any single piece of our protection in the WARdrobe will leave us vulnerable to sudden attacks and more severely - worldly conformity!
So, it’s time now to “take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one”
Foolishly, I forget to execute this critical defensive step and many times my pride gets a lil’ stanky and I just get plumb dumb about not getting my faith in place.
Paul’s continued prescription implies so much! But I’ll keep is short...
First, we’re called to take up - meaning - bring into both possession AND proper position.
Inclusively, we are empowered to do this action with our strength in the Lord and in His mighty power - that is... to snuff out the FLAMING arrows with our Shield Of Faith.
The arrows are intentionally aimed and released not in our direction but EXACTLY at us and are intended to deceive, distract, and discourage!
The bonus of the arrows intentionally being set a blaze are the evil ones INTENTIONAL, have I said that yet, efforts to burn down our ministry and the Word of our testimony.
If we are to fulfill our ministry - we must stand firm and keep watch...
As men, we are called NOT to fulfill
our potential but to fulfill our ministry as Christ Jesus has set the example of.
